Recently I have been doing a series in oil and encaustic on the English South Downs. This beautiful national park which spans over 80 miles of undulating chalk hills overgrown with green pastures, forests and rivers is breath taking.
i am enjoying using encaustic waxes and pigments in these paintings. I love the movement of this media which leaves the artist not quite in control as melting wax can have a mind of it’s own. Enjoy these few pictures.
