One of the most dramatic Rocky mountains in Banff National Park,Canada, sits squarely beside the trans Canada Highway, all on it is own. It is truly massive and takes some time to drive past it. It goes by it’s First Nations name of Castle Mountain. It is well photographed and sure to be in any tourist book about the region.
I have taken this opportunity to paint it using mixed media. I have used graphite and charcoal pencils, oil pastels and acrylic inks. I will be taking this sketch and doing a large painting of it in the near future. I hope that you enjoy this.
